There is really nothing wrong if you prefer to get away for Super Bowl Sunday, February 5. Nothing says you have to watch the game, but if you want to and you are at Pipe Creek Cabin, at least you can do so without interruption. If the game is not your thing, then you will be in a serene place with plenty of other options. With that said, you will find a crock pot in the cabinet nearest the utility room. An easy recipe for a relaxing game day is this:
1 Pork shoulder roast (2.5lbs.)
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce
Fresh lemon juice
1 teas brown sugar
1 Med onion
8 Hamburger buns or hard rolls for serving
Place roast in the crock-pot and cook on low (while you sleep) 10-12 hours, or on high 5-6 hours.
Remove roast and discard cooking liquid that formed. Shred pork using two forks. Return to crock pot and add the remaining ingredients and cook on high for 1 hour or on low for 2 hours. Serve on buns or rolls with pickles and cole slaw. Nice and easy!
Enjoy your day and Enjoy your stay.
